I am flying out of Crow Island and taking lessens from Tim Sullivan. I have about (I think)4 more hours before I can solo.
The weather has been poor this spring and early summer so finding days that match my schedule are difficult.
Bob Corbo is at Oshkosh now and we are basically waiting on the Wills Wing which is scheduled to be finished next week. hopefully
This will should give me the time I need to finish up my lessens or be close anyway.
Have you tried turning the motor off in flight yet. How has the motor been for you?
Is it easy to start? rough starts? heat up too quickly?
Hi Jack
Thanks for your reply, Yes we do have some great spots to fly, Just came back from a three day trip
to Sale in east Victoria, got a good number of hours in with some ex flying conditions.
If you would like to see some more good shots of that area check out Alf Jessups pge. He was our host .
Cheers Mark
My trike took longer than expected. Let me tell you, the last few weeks of waiting seemed like an eternity.
No parachute yet, but I have considered getting a hand deployed one. Bob Corbo had one that looked pretty attractive.
Jack,
Thanks for sharing some of your experience.
I am about to order the Raven now.
Was hoping to have it in 6 weeks or so, to match up with some training I'll be doing with my instructor. Sounds like it might take longer than that, oh well.
Stay in touch; I'm glad I found this website to be in contact with other trike owners.
I can't wait till it arrives, it's going to be a good summer!
Smooth landings-JJ
P.S do you use a reserve parachute? Hand deployed, BRS?
Hi Jack, it would be great to plan some adventures. I have wanted to explore Northern Maine for some time as I have never seen that part of the state...It sounds like CT might be a fun place to fly as well. I'll be glad to give you a call if you would like to provide a number and best time. Let's hope for warmer weather. Thanks, Norm.

Hi Jack, only a few flights so far but I'm really looking forward to the upcoming year. I am an old HG pilot but don't get much HG airtime here in Maine...the cool deal is that I have a place to keep the Raven all set up near my house so I hope to fly a lot this year. Although its a part 103 I am also taking lessons to get my weight shift sport pilots license. I have passed the written and hope to take the check ride this spring. Norm

Hi Mike,
Thanks for the input. Sedona looks like such a nice place to fly. I would love to bring my trike with me but it is just too far. Maybe another time.
