Pre Oshkosh Trikefest

So who's registered to come to the Trikefest this year? It is only a little more than a month away and I wonder if everyone has registered so they can figure out how much food to buy. All that is difficult to calculate withe the price of fuel so high. I wonder if that will stop anyone from attending? And then who's flying on to Oshkosh after the trikefest? Dave

I'm not sure how many showed up exactly. I saw Jim Bairs DTA at one point I thought, on Friday but never had a chance to get a photo of it and then it was gone. Some guys flew in one day and didn't stay overnight I believe, like Dave Smith.
I tried to get everyone's picture and missed getting the helicopter.

Last year the turnout was slightly better but the economy sucks this year and fuel is expensive. We had a great time anyway and the food was terrific as usual.

Dave, Nice pix. About how many trikes ended up going? In one aerial shot I counted at least 20. Looks like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing.

Sure thing! How many days will you be there? I'l be there all week so we should be able to do it.
I volunteered to help out the EAA and may be working at the main gate selling tickets in the mornings. I will be lodging at Zepherhills at night and could do the face shield for you if you like.

Not a big problem for me to do that.
Being retired has it's benefits. Money isn't one of them.

Hey Dave!
I think Abid said you'd be hanging out in the TBAS apartment during SNF! Are you bringing any materials/tools to make the visor thingys?
I've got an Icaro type PPG/ UL helmet that I'd like to get modified if you're interested?
I'll see you @ SNF !

I believe that all messages have to be reviewed for content before they get posted. It keeps the riff raff out and everyone polite. Nice! Spencer is a really smart guy and thinks outside of the box. I don't even know where the box is some days. ( : > ) So I have a little challenge here myself.

Dave,
I Love this website, but I'm still not sure how the heck it works sometimes. I replied to my blog but I'm not sure you got the message. Check it out...

Dave , i don't subscribe to the magazine. Will have to see if someone up this way may have a copy. I like the 912 XT also. I had a chance to sell my buggy right after Cushing and was intending on gettting a 912 xt but just couldn't part with $50,000. to buy a new one so I decided to put a subaru engine in my trike this winter. I was able to pick up a 100HP EA81 from a friend and we are going to install it hopefully in Oct. Denny

Yeah I sold my Classic. It is down in Mexico today. Now I am looking for my next sky ride and taking this opportunity to get my fixed wing sign off on my Sport Pilot ticket. The Thorp is a really easy plane to fly. Then I can go both ways. But a half ownership in a trike and also a fixed wing plane. I really love the way a Streak 3 flys. and 912 is probably my next engine. Not quite sure which trike it will be on yet. I see where they used my Trike Bivouac pictures for the artical in Ultraflight Magazine for September.

Hi Dave! You sell your trike. Thought I saw it listed at Barnstormers. You wanting to upgrade to the 912? I see I made it in a couple of your photos from the Cushing fly-in. Hope to be back again next summer. Denny
